OUR CONCEPT AND OUR STORY


TUYO is a restaurant with a concept that goes far beyond "eating to be full". Your visit should be an experience in which not only the palate can experience and enjoy, we want to positively stimulate all of your senses. That's why we put a lot of work and inspiration into the interior design of the TUYO restaurant. Well-known artists have created a “room outside of time” and we have furnished it with real antiques from all over the world. A particularly high-quality music system and subtle, pleasant exotic essences, as well as, of course, a unique lighting installation that turns the room into a dream. We want to offer our guests more than just “the eye eats everything”, to be able to experience and enjoy the sum of all the senses in a relaxing and refreshing way.

The striking elements of the interior design of the TUYO restaurant on La Gomera are made of high-quality wood, combined with oriental-Indian-inspired furniture and lamps and some antique decorative elements. Everything was put together with great attention to detail. These very individual pieces of furniture and decoration would not be the TUYO.


In total, the TUYO restaurant in Valle Gran Rey offers seating for 55 guests. The solid and high-quality wooden tables and wooden chairs are spread over two floors. When the weather is good, you have a direct view of the sea opposite from the gallery above. There are 20 seats available for guests in the upper area. In the lower part of the restaurant you will be welcomed with a warm, relaxed and calm atmosphere. Here we can accommodate and serve a total of 25 guests.

When the weather is good and if necessary, we are also happy to open the restaurant's small outdoor terrace. There are only 10 seats in total and early reservation is recommended.

We are often very well attended, especially at the peak of the season, "on particularly beautiful sunset evenings" and when the competitors have their rest days! Due to our way of cooking every order freshly to the table, this not only means slightly longer waiting times for the guests who got a table from our small contingent. Unfortunately, it also all too often leads to us having to send hungry people away or, worst of all, those who say "we really wanted to go to TUYO again last evening, and now we're going to have fish fried to a pulp somewhere nearby?" ...

 

THEREFORE: If you KNOW that you want to eat at TUYO, when, how often, with whom: definitely make use of the reservation! ... We are currently also thinking about introducing "subscriptions", inspired by the high number of our regular guests who have "fixed appointments" for their personal favorite meal during their time in Valle Gran Rey anyway.
